Marilyn Asher is a lifelong Nebraskan. Born and raised in Nebraska, she has a vested interest in the future of the state. Marilyn worked for 15 years as religious/volunteer coordinator at the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility, a maximum security prison for youthful offenders who have been adjudicated as adults. While working there, Marilyn earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. After retirement in 2017, Marilyn vowed that she would do whatever she could to keep other young people from entering the prison system.

Marilyn and her husband, Dallas, a Vietnam veteran, have been married 48 years and have three children and twelve grandchildren.  In 2022, she realized that she could be more effective in securing Nebraska's strong future as a representative for the people.   • Co-owner of a Small Business specializing in home renovations
  • Employed as Volunteer Coordinator at Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility, where she started a successful mentoring program
